I could get this done, and have actually been thinking about decentralizing from enturb and getting a message board/wiki setup for the CVAnon so we have a better way to organize and plan. Give me a few days...

You've actually read my mind. It's not that I don't like enturb, but when flyering/postering, a decentralized wiki would be a lot easier for locals to navigate than a massive message board, when looking for information.

I'll get crackin' on this tonight. The web server aspect will be a snap, but I have little (read: no) experience with setting up and running an IRC server, so that might take a few days. Anyone know of a decent IRC daemon?

Unreal IRCD is one of my personal favorites. I've had some experience as a IRCop/CSop/co-owner of a server. It's been quite a while since I've done anything behind the scenes, though, so I'm not sure how much I remember.

Re: Fresno, CA

Wedsnday I'm down I actually happen to have the day off. Though sorry guys for may I am commited to some things in SF that I actually have to show up and get on the way. For sure I am up for mini raids in and around Fresno/Clovis. My hours of work are crazy but I will do my best to do stuff around town.

I've already been taking out library books and leaving "You Found The Card" in them and other little things.

I will set up a decentralized site within the next hour if no one else has already. If anything I just delete it. It's going to be on the same format as the SF decentralized just because it was fast to set up and easy to use.

EDIT:
basic site is up on the ning network.

Central Valley Anon

I am going to start making graphics and setting the site up today and tomorrow. All basic functions should work. Like the forums and profiles. I will work on it more before I go to sleep.

Central Valley let's decentralize.

I've been working on getting a server setup off and on all day:

Central Valley Anonymous

It's just a basic virtual server, should be plenty for our needs. Cash is a little tight, so I'm using dyndns for now untill I can drop the $7 for an actual domain (yes, we are that fucking broke).

Next steps are to polish things up and get the IRC server going.

Re: Fresno, CA

I just used ning because it fast, user friendly and most of all free. If you guys want to use that one it's cool I'll just delete the other. (used free for just in case you get tracked down for owning the site)

I, my good sir, have no life. And have time to sit here and read threads for the better part of the day.

Re: Fresno, CA

Ning is a great service (been following them for the better part of two years, it seems), but I'm a big fan of doing everything yourself. You can implement a more robust and feature-rich site if you're not relying solely on one service. Additionally, I don't think Ning has a wiki, which I wanted as a one-stop shop to organize things such as anon links and protest media (fliers and cards and such).

I'm hoping to get IRC up today or tomorrow.

Re: Fresno, CA

Depending on if we get a couple people I might be able to stop by after work and hand out some fliers.

I'm going to stop by for sure and my sister is probably coming with me. I'm going to harrass every other anons phone number I know (okay it's one person) to go. But maybe some other people will come. Please don't leave me alone with the scilons!

Sorry about that, I'd forgotten to install an SMTP server to send email. In any case, everyone who registered has been activated, so y'all can go ahead and start using it now.

Holy Christ, I just said/typed y'all.

Lernore, when you get time read my comments are your site. On another note, I need to find a place that sells V masks in Fresno/Clovis. Maybe Party Works sells them? Or maybe Halloween works if they are open at all.

I don't think Halloween Works is open right now, I think they're only open for October, possibly part of September as well. As for Party Works, you can try, but I'm kinda doubting that they'll carry them.
