Once again, I'll plan to be thar taking photos.

The cooler that family brought was an epic save, I think I may try to bring one from the start, and I'll take any requests on drinks to bring.

Also, my friend (one that was dancing) wants to bring his own music (he meant to last time but he failed) to bust-a-move to, which means that phat-beats are to guaranteed (assuming he does bring it), but he also wants to bring a better system to play it on (its my understanding that the stereo there was at max volume, right?). However I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of sound-level codes we are dealing with.

Other than that I'll be trying to get more people I know to come.

We have a lot to protest at this coming one, since the theme is Fair Game Stop, and this org likes the PI's and the following around and the picture taking and such :)

Going to start working on signage soon. Anyone who needs anything printed, let me know - send a link for the file and I'll bring it to the protest!

Here's an idea for the theme: Make a sign that has something like "FAIR GAME IN PROGRESS" and hold it if you're followed.

Also, when we get in the situations where you actually start having a conversation with an interested bystander. Point out a PI or Scilon watching us or taking pictures of us. Like:

Bystander - "So what is 'Fair Game'?"
Anon - "Well you see that guy over there?" *points to PI taking pictures* "He's a PI hired by Scientologists to take pictures and follow us to try to dig up information on us... blah blah blah"

Of course there would actually have a to be one of those guys visible to be able to kick that up.

In any case, I think it would be that much more effective to actually SHOW people fair game as its happening.

Sound codes are easily google-able, but for a reference I believe here in Hollywood, it can't be more than 5Db louder than ambient noise, unless you have a permit. (Which is a bitch and a half to get, and not really worth it imo.)

Fair game is no longer in effect. They changed the name because it causes "bad public relations" LOL it still exists though

ESK - Fair Game

As far as I'm concerned it's still Fair Game all the same. They cancelled "calling it" Fair Game because of bad publicity, but they never cancelled doing it. So if we keep calling it Fair Game (even if thats not what they call it anymore, they made up that name for it, not us) it just keeps the bad publicity up. In other words, they wanted people to stop saying "Fair Game" because it sounded bad for them, well we keep saying "Fair Game and it keeps sounding bad for them.

Since when have we stopped calling Scientology a Cult because they call it a religion?

Two suggestions, take or leave.

1. White(r) clothing cause oh god the yellow face it burns us seriously though it was rilly rilly hot last time.

2. Can anybody think of an appropriate and actual game that various anons could participate in on a city sidewalk without taking up too much space? This kind of activity fits the theme name, increases fun, and attracts attention from the public. I'm thinking like, along the lines of tossing a frisbee around (though that specifically requires waaay too much space). Juggling? Hackey sack? Basically, any kind of fair game.

Some thoughts of my own from last time:

- We should get a big banner for that wallspace across from the org.
- More anons! It would be great to have a main group straight across and some smaller groups at each of the four corners of the block.
- Music was awesome. I was thinking of bringing some portable Bose speakers, but I won't be available on the 10th.
- It might be funny (and attention-getting) if we set a time, like 12:30, for all of us to converge and have cake and make a big hubbub about cake.

Regarding exit plans (since we were tailed):

A good exit plan is key. Good plan means (A) it is difficult to tail you and (B) you can employ countermeasures if you discover a tail. We had the advantage of being a large group (5), having cameras, walking through a residential area (fewer ppl around to cover the tail), and we were heading to the MVPD anyway.

Stay in groups if you can and take circuitus routes. If tailed, get footage. Maybe circle a block to get enough footage to show you've been tailed, then show that to the cops and get more paper trails going. If you do file something, contact A_nonchalant for the incident # of our little adventure on the 12th so we can get some bigger action going

IIRC, as 1/2 owner of it, it wasn't. We shouldn't forget that unlike some protests, we're in a busy downtown area on a Saturday afternoon. Even if the noise isn't at disturbance levels, it's still enough to impact neighboring businesses, and they will be unhappy. Right now CoS is frittering away its goodwill like Battletoads on preorder, let's let them keep doing that without giving them an excuse to come after us. I'm particularly thinking of the clientele of the Asian grocery behind us (whose proprietor was mildly displeased with us last time), East/West (a bookstore expects SOME quiet), and Cafe Baklava's al fresco patrons.

As for sound permits, you can obtain one with this form. You can also contact Ms. Peterson with your questions about sound, and remember that you MUST advise ALL businesses within range of your sound permit - that includes CoS's bookstore, and they will BAAAWW (suggest advising them by mail if you don't want to get outed, but whoever's on the permit will get outed anyway). If one of the ex-Scilons wants to do this, go for it.

I think a screen cap from the original Space Invaders game, with a boatload of aliens on it and the rocks beat up a fair bit, and it should say "Game Over" in the middle. (Scientology is the little dude at the bottom, the massive fleet of aliens are Anonymous).

In California, you would be hard-pressed to see a city without CoS. They started here.
