Sunderland, UK
OK chaps, on to May 10.
Let's upgrade the visuals and fun aspects a bit this time. Try and avoid the scruffy jeans and casuals, and go for suits and ties OR costumes--game characters preferably. I'll probably be in a boring old suit again. I just bought a Carlsbro Speakezee PA Unit that I can lug along if the police will allow it. I used it in town today and it is awesome--loud and good quality. The rechargeable battery runs for three hours of heavy use, the promo says. I only used it for about 50 minutes today but I was very impressed with its performance. If I do bring it next month, along with the tripod I mount it on, as well as my usual A2 signs on a pole, I won't have any extra carrying capacity for other A2 signs so someone else will have to make up the slack. Either that, or they can pick up my spare signs ahead of time. :) |

Re: Sunderland, UK
Enjoyed the vid of our raid on the 12th. I can see how badly the org has declined. In fact when you look at their site and see how how shiny and new it looks. This could be a bit of humour show a vid with a picture of their site and their speil over the top and then THE REALITY a building in decay looking sorry for itself with shots of the front and back.

Just looked on the Arriva site for more info on bus times.

Re: Sunderland, UK
SUNDERLAND ROCKS!
![]() so, someone made a thread about how some of the smaller cities and some of the cities who don't get as much recognition as the places with bigger orgs are being slighted. i happen to think ya'll should get more recognition. i want to thank you for organizing the protests in your city. i know that it must be much harder to show up with very few people and protest. every Anonymous protest is important. every anon who protests is vital. every anon who cannot make it to the protests, but who helps in other ways is vital. there is not one of us who is not an integral part of this movement. so, thank you very much for having your protests! day day, AnonMomAnon .

Re: Sunderland, UK
Woo, always nice to see support!
Also very much agree with the visuals, i'll be wearing suit this time, and have procured myself a mask - no need for scarf I know at the previous protests you guys were asked not to wear masks but i think a concerted effort to inform the police and tell them we WILL be wearing masks (otherwise, we lose a lot of the point of campaigning against Fair Game) - obviously we can come across very nice n polite and say we're not out to intimidate etc etc Any thoughts? Also will be bringing my handy interviewing kit and *fingers crossed* getting some airplay on Ne1fm |

Don't bet on it, we've tried multiple times and they just won't budge on the mask issue - I'll of course be trying again but I'm not too hopeful. Ho hum.

Re: Sunderland, UK
Are you allowed to cover your faces with big sunglasses/scarves etc? If they want to know about intimidation they need to read up on Fair Game!
