Re: Calgary, Alberta
My last exam is the coming Saturday so May 3rd sounds fantastic for me. Good way to start off the summer back in Calgary. Blitz, I was wondering what cards you were going to get printed. We'll have to figure that out. As well, there is a very informative/nice pamphlet from GatherForTruth which may be worthy of some printing.

Re: Calgary, Alberta
Yeah, may 3rd sounds do-able for me
Hopefully this snow finally melts by then. In terms of cards Something simple like the "youfoundthecard" or the one's mentioned earlier in the thread. and I'll have a look at the pamphlets ASAP I had good ones from before But it's alot of reading. So ideally we need something quick To the point And with links to more information. |

Re: Calgary, Alberta
The pamphlet I'm thinking off isn't too lengthy. It's pretty straight to the point but I'd rather leave it for later. I'm asking a friend on getting "YouFoundTheCard" printed; we'll compare prices as soon as possible?

Looks like this Saturday will be very good weather. Any preferences for where and when we should meet up?

Look what I found in our city:
Free Introductory Dianetics Lecture - calgary classes/workshops - backpage.com Free introductory seminar about how to reduce stress - calgary classes/workshops - backpage.com Anybody know where these things are being held? Because I'd love to help give these poor individuals some REAL self-help. |

Never mind. It looks like they already happened. I'll keep an eye on the website and see if any more pop up.

Re: Calgary, Alberta
Ooo ... a couple other interesting things I found:
Edmontoin Journal - Narconon debunked in Edmonton Journal, May 23 2006 Narconon Alberta Looks like they ARE lurking around in Calgary after all. They just don't have an official "church" to hide in. So for our first official raid I'm thinking Saturday, we meet at Dalhousie Station at 11:00AM and we'll leave from there at 12:00. We can take transit around and hand out flyers and such. What you will need: -Mask or face covering (we are Anonymous we wear masks) -Knowledge (for the love of Xenu know what you're talking about) -Good attitude (this is a PR battle so don't be a downer) -Common sense (don't do or say stupid things it's that simple) Also, flyers/business cards/etc. I recommend these, particularly the "what am I protesting" one: Why Am I Wearing This Mask?, Ver. 2.0 I'll try to print some off for people today, but could somebody else please confirm that we will have some for sure? That being said, does anybody know where I might go to print en masse? If anybody has questions or concerns regarding any of this, please say so or feel free to PM me. Re: Calgary, Alberta
Those were the exact flyers I was talking about. Anyways, I'm up for the 10th. I asked my friend and his prices were a little beyond reach so I'm thinking we can just print them at staples or something. There's this place by Superstore on Country Hills that my dad has photocopied at before.

Re: Calgary, Alberta
Alright, for our first flier raid ever, that was a HUGE win Calgary Anons! At first it didn't seem like anybody was going to show, but once we hunted down a few other known Anons. We managed to get through basically all 500 of our fliers in 2.5hrs with just a small handful of us! Best part was that most people seemed quite interested in what we were doing, and a few even knew exactly what we were doing before we said anything!
All in all a job well done. What we learned from this was that we need to know our stuff fairly well so we can ALL talk to people effectively instead of just using the best speaker and best educated Anon to do it. That we need a lot more fliers than initially predicted, and that sunglasses and surgical masks seem to put people more at ease than actually wearing a mask. Also, wearing a V mask on the back of your head doesn't bother people and also attracts other Anons. Overall a job EXTREMELY well done. I was very much impressed with our success. Ideally the next flier raid will probably be on May 17th at Otafest at the UofC Otafest 2008 Masks are highly recommended as they won't scare people half as much when there are a bunch of people in them. It shall almost certainly be extremely lulzy for anybody interested in coming out to join us. Let's see if we can't get more people out for next time. Way to go everyone who came out!!! |

Hey guise.
High fives to the four folks I saw on the C-train on the way home on Sat. Dude in the plain white mask, I could barely understand anything you were saying, but even still, you guys deserve some serious kudos for going out and doing what some of us who are still on the sidelines haven't committed to. HIGH FIVE! |

Re: Calgary, Alberta
May 10th, I would actually like to do something if I am not able to make it to Edmonton.
Please, unlike the 3rd, I actually want some numbers. Reply to this thread as soon as possible.

The hell with edmonton, Calgary has a larger population density, so we will reach more people in the same amount of time in Calgary
