Re: Edmonton, Alberta
Has the police been alerted yet, and is there any indication that Churchill Square security will be watching us again?

If you'd like me to have to take it a step further, I absolutely can. Sorry to "let you all down" but you've really dissapointed me. edit: if you want to know why I don't plaster this everywhere - is because it really is not the issue at hand and for the sake of people like Tory - I won't try to harbor your efforts. I am saddened that there is one less protestor over something that seems to me to be easily solved. I mean, it's clear that pedobear probably isn't appropriate so would it be that difficult to ask pedobear to maybe not be pedobear and just wear a different mask? Instead of throwing accusations regarding CP? |

Re: Edmonton, Alberta
I've seen some pretty shitty stuff recently and it's really changed my mind about fighting alongside some of you. Considering the majority of people attending are involved in this crap or find it funny, I just honestly don't see how I can protest and distance myself from them. Don't take it personally if you're not of those people, but I also don't see anybody else having any objections to it - and I don't think that's right.
Don't misunderstand me and think that I will not still find plenty of ways to fight Scientology. |

Re: Edmonton, Alberta
You know what - I overreacted, I get that and feel I need to apologize for taking my frustration out on you certain anons. I also hope you understand that to many people on this site - it's not meant to be displayed as a satire. I've been lurking for months and my tolerance has been dwindling the more I'm subjected to. I've come to realize that this is more than a joke to many people and I can't differentiate between who's a part and who's not. A few unmeantionable things have been the straw on the camel's back for me though and I am incredibly sorry if I implied that you are one of those people that engage in this. I also understand that there are many people on Enturb that are unaware of their fellow-anons actions. I've recently been "reprimanded" by a channer that felt that I wasn't being fair to anonymous by not honouring 4chan and Anonymous' roots. It's things like that that make me feel that I can carry on this battle on my own. I'm completely conflicted with Anonymous as I don't know how I can participate without being associated to that. No matter what I feel though, I will continue my fight with the same passion I always had. I plan on protesting regardless.

Re: Edmonton, Alberta
The actions and viewpoints of a few anons is not really descriptive of the group as a whole. Admittedly, I thought the pedobear costume was a bit tasteless for a protest with such a serious target but that's one person out of many (I think about 40 showed up in April). The rest did a good job and were almost unanimously courteous to everyone at the other protests.
The few case examples that hold the origins of Anonymous as a guide to how they should act now are a minority. Granted, I can understand how the offensive people stand out more than the serious ones, but the serious ones are doing good enough to more than make up the difference. |
