We definitely need a permit for May 10. If April 12 was any indication, we'll need a permit to protect ourselves in the future from pissed off merchants/cops. For whatever reason, the city of Ottawa decided that we needed two cop cars stationed at our protest the entire time. Dunno what changed, but I'm very glad we had the permit.

If you are a decent audio/visual guy, and are willing to make some Ottawa centric propoganda, feel free to let your skills be known. You don't need to be able to do anything too complicated - just putting together pictures and videos, with text and music would be fine. This type of propaganda would be good to show potential recruits in the Ottawa area, as in, "Hey, look how fun we are, come join us next time!".

For May 10 we need:
*Boombox (Nevermind, we have one now.)
*Megaphone

(Previous supplier will not be in Ottawa on May 10.)

I'd guess that several of the nearby businesses are either Scino-owned, or Scino-friendly. That, or having 60 masked people outside makes a bank rather nervous.

Because I'm not really in the position/mood to spend ridiculous amounts of money on the extra ID and passport that I'd need to get across the border?

Because I'm incredibly proud and feel very blessed to have been born in this country, and I would rather do what I can to rid my beloved country of this scourge by applying constant pressure to the cult *here* in Canada?

Because I'm not a student who has summers off?

#1 where's a good place to get the Guy Fawkes mask (other than ebay...anywhere in town?)

#2 where is the protest being held? (i wasn't even aware of any Scientlogy buildings in ottawa)

The Guy Fawkes Masks are available at Malabar at 1610 Merivale Road.

The Scientology building is near Rideau Centre at 150 Rideau Street.

The protests are generally held on the other side of the street from the Scientology building, or on parliament hill.

We probably won't be doing Parliament Hill again soon. While the location makes for some epic photo ops, it cuts us off from interacting with the public. At least on Rideau, people have no choice but to walk past us (unless they want to turn around and go back around the block).

Besides, it's not like many MPs are actually on the Hill on weekends.

This'll be my first protest against scifags. Definitely want to show but we need a permit. Where to meet?

Go to the Ottawalulz website to find out where we meet. There are meetings on Saturdays and we meet at the same place before protests and mini raids. The Ottawalulz website should give you more than enough info to get involved.

Yeah I've added some stuff to the site about May 10. Take a look.

Also, I'm planning to print out most of the secret documents about Scientology and hand them out during the protest. lol

so, someone made a thread about how some of the smaller cities and some of the cities who don't get as much recognition as the places with bigger orgs are being slighted. i happen to think ya'll should get more recognition.

i want to thank you for organizing the protests in your city. i know that it must be much harder to show up with very few people and protest.

every Anonymous protest is important. every anon who protests is vital. every anon who cannot make it to the protests, but who helps in other ways is vital. there is not one of us who is not an integral part of this movement.

so, thank you very much for having your protests!
