Well, first and foremost, are we getting a permit again this time? There wasn't much need for even the 2 cops that hung out, except to placate the locals.

I think we need to get a permit, just in case they try to book the same day so we can't protest where we were.

Better safe then sorry.

I think we should get the permit again because:

• The police like us already -- let's keep it that way
• If moar people show up and we don't have a permit, there will be anger. Hopefully we'll have more people, and it won't rain

Another thing I think is worth looking into is whether it's a good idea to try to protest in Y/D square. I don't know whether it would be a good idea, but I think it's something we should consider.

I'm going to make a large banner that says "Scientology is a Cult" on it. It'll be about 1metre by 6.5meters I think, with poles on the end 3m high, which break into two for easy transport.

EDIT:
I think that gregg is good for signing forms but care should be taken to address people's concerns over him being "head of anon" or some such.

Instead join us Saturday, April 19th at 1pm in Yonge-Dundas Square. Last time we did this we had 5 anons and gave out about 500 flyers in a matter of hours.

Let's do it again, and keep the awareness/excitement for 5/10 high. If we have more than, say, 10 anons we can split up to hit several high traffic locations, but for now let's arrange to meet at YD Square

I've read the what to name May's operation thread and some people mentioned dressing up as lawyer-y judge-y people for it (law suits against critics and all that). I'm thinking of dressing as Phoenix Wright (LAME I know) and having a sign that says "I OBJECT fair game"

hah, see the reason we had so few cops present is largely in part due to the fact that we HAD organised ourselves AND we had a notice of demo / permit. The monitors seemed to work, minus a few issues which we are working on ironing out. We're hoping to talk to the businesses again this week to see what their reactions were and if they have any suggestions.

A bunch of us from IRC are meeting Monday night to talk about the previous protest and ideas for May 10th.
