You have to see this movie. They got the perfect writer, the perfect director. Everything is splendid.

Except that your favorite character is cast by a Scientologist.

Being honest?

I'd probably got and watch it anyway and feel absolutely fine about the whole thing. The only Sci Actor I have anything against in Tom Cruise, because it's pretty obvious he knows more than he's letting on.

If it was a genuinely good film I'd go and see it and wouldn't mind what Scientologists were in it.

I've actually watched a lot of Tom Cruise's classic stuff (Top Gun, A Few Good Men, Rain Man) and Natural Born Killers, which has Juliette Lewis as Mallory, is one of my favourite films.

Just 'cast' the part, not the actual actor or actress? Chump job. I'd watch it. It's like skipping a flick since a grip is a Scilon.

Now if a main actor was a scilon, that just means I'd have to work a heck of a lot harder to take down scientology so I could watch the film with a glass of milk.

It's gonna take more than a Scino in a film to make me not want to watch it (unless if it's total crap). To anyone saying |pirate it, don't giving scis money HURR DURR" then think about it for a second. Sure you might be stopping some money getting into the CO$'s hands, but thats also the case for everyone else who worked on the film - cameramen, other actors/actresses, director, editors, etc. etc. They don't deserve to get less money from a film just because there's a Scientologist in it.

Anyway, I can respect good actors regardless of their beliefs. For example, I don't care what the hell Will Smith believes in these days, it won't stop him from being a damn good actor imo. That, and the Fresh Prince of Bel Air is one of my favorite American shows of all time, something that won't be changing soon.

I'ld be reluctant to see something with Tom Cruise in it though, since I didn't like him before I knew he was a Scilon.

Seeing the movie or not seeing it doesn't control how much money $cientology gets unless it was produced by a $cientologist movie studio.

The actor you're attempting to boycott by not seeing the movie is getting paid regardless of whether you're paying to see it or not.

The only way this would hurt the actor in any way is if a STAGGERING amount of people (I'm talking 80% and above here) downloaded/snuck into the movie instead of paying for it, and studios KNEW it was solely because of that actor. Then they'd reconsider hiring him for any other shows, knowing that he/she is a "kiss of death".
