Any tabletop anon gamers in London looking for a new member? My group folded and my gamebooks are getting dusty. D&D prefered, but White Wolf etc is cool too.

Never played a pen & paper game before, but always wanted to try it. Problem is, none of my friends are into them so I've got no way to learn.

D&D Player's Manuel (3.5, cuz 4.0 sucks balls) and Dungeons and Dragons for Dummies will be your best friend. You may also want to try Facebook are whatever networking site you use to find other players in your area. I myself found a group through a club for it at my college, so your local educational institution may be a good place to look.

Used to play D&D 3.5, then took over as a DM for a lenthy while until I finally noticed I'm waaaaay too lazy and uncreative for that type of shit..
I also had some sessions in a Warhammer 40k-D20modern group, pretty awesome, but unfortunately our GM got swamped with work and stuff.

Right now, we opened a Shadowrun group. We'll see how that one will turn out. :D

Anyone ever tried GURPS (generic universal role playing system)

Its similar to D&D except there's no fixed setting or time stream. It has rules for everything from throwing rocks at people to shooting them with a Gauss Cannon, so you can have any setting for you're campaign that you want!

GURPS is great. I use D&D 3.5 for the high fantasy stuff, but GURPS for practically anything else.

in a recent campaign I played an Irish Sniper/Explosives expert.... ohh the fun I had with that sniper rifle! XD

I'm a huge D&D nerd, i'll play 3.5 or 4E. usually a homebrew setting, Forgotten Realms or Eberron. For the record Tabletop gamers own LARPers. LARPers are like the nerds of..well...nerds.

Yes rpg's is my prime hobby, but sadly I have not actually played consistently in over 3 years. I used to love GURPS but have stepped away due to personal issues with the owner of SJGames (as in he is a ass and I refuse to give him any of my money, so no Munchkin for me either) and have rediscovered my love for, Basic Role Playing from Chaosium. I'm also quite excited about the upcoming Song of Ice and Fire rpg coming out from Green Ronin Publishing that also happen to be putting out a Wild Cards rpg.

Then there is Dresden Files rpg to look forward to as well as Starblazers Adventures rpg that some of you Brits might recognize. And from the same company I'm looking forward to see how the new Doctor Who rpg turns out. Then there is the Serenity rpg, Battlestar Galactica rpg and the upcoming Supernatural rpg (Scroll down) that is also on my list.

So, yeah all these cool games but, as yet, no one to game with. :(
